They walked the same path, but they saw different things. One detected problems and the other glimpsed opportunities.
Our brain is divided into two hemispheres (left and right). Each hemisphere processes information differently outside, but both enjoy independent personalities.
The left is RESPONSIBLE of verbal, mathematical problem solving, rational thought and memory. Stores theoretical and numerical information, and is responsible for structure, order and plan. It is governed by norms, rules, laws, and try to find certainty and results in all that done. Between the white and the black is unable to glimpse the gray. Is a hemisphere fixed only the quantitative dimension and material things.
The right hemisphere is linked to the Sensory. Everything that can not be defined in words. This hemisphere, perceives signals, signs, metaphors and hidden meanings of things. We directly about the emotional and spiritual dimension of the human condition, to the point of allowing ourselves to feel the immaterial part of things.
More original rebel left hemisphere, the right breaks social norms, remains oblivious to guidelines while empathy, compassion and ability to communicate non-verbally is incredibly skilled. Develops imagination, innovation, intuitive and creative thinking.
Neuroscientists confirm that both hemispheres interact simultaneously, which are complementary and that none is more relevant than the other.
Currently the vast majority of us are tyrannized by the left hemisphere. We still believe that logical and rational thinking (how good results offered throughout the industrial era) is more important than imagination, intuition and creativity.
Like the ability humans have to reason is marked from birth, creative thinking is another form of expression inherent in the human condition. And we must be brave to listen to our mind, like to listen to our heart.
